Our Lady Star of the Sea Primary School is building a stronger community through resilience.

The school is proud to be implementing The Resilience Project's evidence-based whole school wellbeing program.

"This project aims to deliver an emotionally engaging program providing practical and positive mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness in young people," a school spokesperson said.

"Our Lady students are participating in weekly lessons focusing on gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and building emotional literacy.

"Students have also loved participating in daily GEM chats, where they have an opportunity to understand and strengthen their practice of resilience."

Last month the school celebrated its first GEM award winners: Indi, Finn, Josiah and Nam John.
