Got an old upright freezer you don't need?
Then PICAL would like to be the new owner.
Last week one of the neighbourhood centre's old freezers stopped working and according to manager David Rooks is now "beyond repair. "
"PICAL is now looking to the community to see if anyone has an upright freezer they can help support us," David said.
PICAL uses four freezers and four fridges for its food relief pantry.
"With more than 1000kg of food coming in and out of the pantry each week all the fridges and freezers are well used," said David, adding they had checked with the Lions Club Steptoe Emporium and Facebook but none were available.
"If anyone has an upright freezer to donate or sell at a value price PICAL would love to hear from you.
"Alternatively, you may wish to donate funds to help support our purchase."
Donations can be at reception on online.
