San Remo Pharmacist, Andrew Louka, was the guest speaker at the August meeting of the San Remo Probus Club, answering questions about medications.
At its last General Meeting on August 8 the San Remo Probus Club hosted a session on medication, with local San Remo Pharmacist, Andrew Louka, as the guest speaker.
Andrew answered members questions for one hour about the medications they were taking and what effects, if any, they were likely to experience.
Andrew explained that generic medications were quite safe to consume as they must pass stringent test by law. In fact, Andrew said, some companies produce a brand name product and also a like generic product from the same production line.
The questions from the floor flowed continuously for the hour and club members certainly used the opportunity to get any misgivings off their chest. Andrew's answers, appropriately, were very well received by meeting attendees. Andrew was thanked for his openness by Club President, Lynn Ward, at the conclusion of the meeting.
Visitors to the San Remo Probus Club are always welcome. The Club meets at the Newhaven Public Hall at 10am on the second Monday each month. Just pop in, introduce yourself and see the breadth of guest speakers and activities the club has to offer local retirees.
