A dedicated group of volunteers came together last week to put together 100 hampers to help ensure everyone in our community gets to celebrate Christmas.
St Vincent de Paul creates Christmas food hampers and supplies gifts for those in the community who are experiencing hardship.
The donations for the hampers came from local schools, Coles, Woolworths and the Bendigo Bank.
One volunteer said they were blown away by the generosity of the local community.
"It was incredible," they said, describing the amount of food and gifts that had been donated.
A representative from St Vincent said they were extremely grateful for the support from the community.
"We would like to thank all the community, businesses, charities and craft groups for their generous donations to our Christmas Giving Tree.
"The gifts and donated goods enabled us to help families in San Remo and Cowes that require special support during the Christmas period."
