Sally Ann Matthews, CWA Twilight Branch president (centre) said the group is holding a bake sale at the Cowes Market on Church this Saturday, as well as serving a delicious Devonshire Tea.
Under the CWA marquee on Saturday at the Cowes Market on Church, you will be able to buy all the favourite biscuits and cakes that CWA cooks are known for.
Phillip Island Twilight Branch will be at Cowes Market on Church this Saturday serving their fabulous Devonshire Teas in the hall. Come and enjoy the famous show scones served with jam and cream, tea and coffee.
Under the CWA marquee you will be able to buy all the favourite biscuits and cakes that CWA cooks are known for. Here you will find caramel slice, sponges, yo-yos, jam drops, nut loaves and cupcakes, jams and preserves.
CWA Twilight is very active in our community and is thrilled to have been able to support vulnerable women, children and families through their fundraising.
The Mum's and Bub's Pantry located in Cowes Library is a great example of a partnership with the library and the Maternal and Child Health Service.
Each week CWA members check the stock levels and replenish. Your support on Saturday will assist with their purchases for the pantry. The members use a shopping list developed with the nurses to encourage mums to cook quick basic healthy meals and also fill the shelves with personal care items for both mum's and young children.
CWA welcome women of all ages to join them and make a difference.
